In Greek mythology Europa was a Phoenician woman of high lineage, for whom the continent Europe was named. Boyd painted the Europa stories during the mid 1990's in a series of stunning pieces of art, of which this is one.
My asking price is $6990.00 ono. This is well below market price at auctions and certainly at art galleries where you would expect to pay twice my asking price.
This piece was purchased from the reputable auction house GFL Fine Art, and is registered in a recent catalogue as proof of authenticity.
